MEDITATION
Sometimes, all we need is just a few minutes of happiness to flip how we’re feeling—a little “feel-good” energy to change the course of a day.
The thing is, we often wait for happiness to show up from the outside. But that just stretches out the negativity for no reason.
The truth is, at any moment, we can choose to feel better by letting ourselves be taken to happiness.
And music makes that so much easier. It has this magic—it hits you, even when you’re not actively “listening.” Think about when you’re watching a movie. The music feels so intense because you’re in it, fully absorbed, and you intuitively feel the movement of sound in that moment.
Basically, music only hits us when we’re present. That’s what we’re aiming for with Charcoal NOW—finding ways to make music hit you right in the feels. We’re not out here making feature-length films, but we’ve got other things up our sleeve.
And why’s it called NOW? Because music is something you can only truly enjoy in the present. It’s all about the NOW.

Emoting Music Through Art
You know what’s a great way to
enjoy music? Drawing it.
It makes for a great hobby too.
MUSIC
If drip paintings feel a bit odd to you, you’re not alone. But they’re special in the sense that they give you this raw picture of how an artist interacts with their feelings—by just letting it flow.
The whole point of drip painting is no judgment. When you stop judging the emotion, you stop judging the art. And when you stop judging the art... you get it.
NOW, here’s the thing: we’re always dripping with emotions. Honestly, we’re all just vibrant emotional slimes, oozing colorful feelings all the time. So when there’s negativity, instead of bottling it up, just slime it out through music and art.
And when you combine the two—letting music guide your art—it turns into this incredibly therapeutic, feel-good exercise. Seriously, give it a try.
